Bridestowe Primary School
Bridestowe Primary School is set in spacious grounds on the edge of Dartmoor National Park in the centre of the village and at the heart of the local community. Education has been provided on the site since the 1860s. The school has a track record of very high academic success and excellent progress for the children. With two tarmac playgrounds, a level playing field and an excellent adventure playground, we are well equipped for outdoor education. Milton Abbot Primary School
Milton Abbot Primary School is a small school nestled in the beautiful Devon countryside and our school site and buildings dates back to 1829 and are steeped in history. Overtime, much has been added and improved and the extensive grounds include a forest school area, woods, garden pavilion and a large multi games use area. We have high expectations and aspirations for our children and believe our school should be a place of happiness and learning for all, where memories are made.
Northlew & Ashbury Church of England Primary School

Okehampton Primary School is a larger primary school with its own, popular nursery. South Tawton Primary School
South Tawton Primary School is a medium sized school with 204 pupils on roll and is in the heart of Dartmoor. The school is very much part of the local community and participates in many local events. In September 2016, we took the Little Beacons (the local Pre- School) into the Governance of the school and this has helped to develop those transition between school and pre-school arrangements into school with immense success. The school has a strong community ethos and is proud of its sporting prowess: regularly participating in competitive sporting events held within the local area against other primary schools and providing a variety of extracurricular sports clubs across the normal school week.
St James Church of England Primary School
St James opened its doors in 2018 and has bright, modern buildings with a lovely outdoor space and field. We are are a single form entry school with a popular onsite nursery. Okehampton College
Okehampton College is set in the most beautiful surroundings: a large park, ringed by rising woodland and Dartmoor, bordered by the Okement River on one side and rolling farmland on the other. The buildings are a mixture of Victorian Grammar School, modern three storey central block and mid 20th century blocks. We want students to know that they can achieve anything that they wish to do so and we work closely with our community to build the school the area deserves. The Promise School
The Promise School is a specialist school supporting KS2, 3 & 4 young people with their social, emotional and mental health needs. Following a devastating fire which destroyed our building, we are currently based on the sites of Okehampton Primary, Okehampton College and Okehampton 6th Form. Despite this challenge, the culture, ethos and spirit of our school remains as strong as ever. At the heart of our school, we are committed to supporting the young people in our care to build their self-esteem and confidence, develop meaningful and positive friendships and engage in a curriculum that will allow them to find success in their adult lives. The Promise School team believe passionately in enabling the young people in their care to unlock this potential through building consistent and caring relationships, innovative teaching and a skilful understanding of the needs of every child.
